I like painting with acrylics, and I like more abstract styles. I’ve been practicing making my own watercolors using natural pigments from flowers, plants, leaves, berries, etc.In the future, I would like to learn how to do so more professionally.
I like creating botanical art with plants that I have pressed. I am very interested in botany so I press plants frequently and have a large collection (carefully/sustainably picked). I like the process of being able to preserve a plant’s beauty.
I’ve only taken 1 ceramics class so I don’t have many pieces, but I love it so much and plan to take many more classes in the future.

I painted the picture to the left as an extra credit assignment in my design principles class(UMW, 2022). It is another artist’s artwork reimagined. David Hockney is the artist of the piece below, which is what I based my painting on.
